授業内容（シラバスより抜粋）
The foci of this course are threefold.
The primary focus is to enhance the understanding of theories of international relations (hereafter IR theories).
They include realism, liberalism, constructivism, and various critical theories including Marxism and world-system theories.
The second focus is to examine how well IR theories can explain what is happening or what happed in the world.
In this context, the concepts of “global governance” will be examined in the light of IR theories.
Lastly, this seminar has a particular focus on global environmental politics as one of the main case studies to evaluate both IR theories and the concept of global governance.
活動状況
当ゼミは基本的に３年後期から活動を開始します。
１年半を通して国際環境政治学、国際関係学についてプレゼンテーションやディベートを中心に研究を深めていきます。
授業は基本的に週１回。使用言語は英語です。授業では留学生を含めメンバー全員が積極的にディスカッションに参加しています。
通常通り３月卒業の学生は４年の夏頃から卒業研究に取り組み始め、合宿等を通して研究内容の発表などを行います。
授業外でも沢山のイベントがあります。年２度の合宿や、先生の家でのBBQパーティー、授業の後には行ける人達でご飯を食べに行ったりもします。
長期間のゼミに不安を覚える方もいらっしゃると思いますが、皆とご飯を食べている内に、自然と仲良くなれますよ！
就職活動ゼミではないため就職活動中もゼミは通常通り行われます。ですが、面接等で授業を欠席する場合も柔軟に対応できるので心配ありません。
真面目だけど楽しい、活気のあるゼミです！

We learn
about international environmental studies and international relations through
presentation and class debates. The working language is English. Those who
graduate in March normally start research for graduation thesis and present
their work during seminar’s study camp. There are many extra-curricula
activities such as two study camps, BBQ party at teacher’s house, and eating
dinner together after the class. Don’t worry about how to build friendly
relationships with seminar students. You can get along while eating dinner
together! Since it is not a seminar for job hunting, we have class during the
job-hunting period. But you can make-up class when you become absent from class
due to job interviews. This seminar is a serious one in terms of leaning but it
is a fun and lively one.
